24-hour Drop Off of your device
We have a dedicated receptacle for dead drives, other storage devices, and even entire computers.
NOTE: Only drop off entire computers if you want to DISPOSE OF and RECYCLE the old PC. Crashed Drive Recovery does not return anything other than the original drive left with us for recovery and/or customer-provided target media. Anything else is discarded so only leave what you do not wish to see again (besides your failed drive and any target drive(s) you may have provided.)
Drives should be placed in a ZipLoc® bag (gallon size preferred) with paperwork enclosed.
DO NOT staple your authorization form pages together or fold them more than twice. They need to go through a document scanner once received by CHDR.
Amazon, UPS and USPS have been relentless about trying to put deliveries into the hard drive dropoff box. So much so that we've had to put even more signs on and in the box. We apologize for the extra inconvenience. The sign is flexible so you should be able to work around it. Feel free to remove the tape temporarily to drop off larger items like notebooks or computers. If you can get the tape back the way it was, fine. If not, we'll fix it later.
